The first thing we should do in a plan to make boating is…

determine its use, whether for fishing, water-skiing, hanging out, exercising,

or days power on inland waters, coastal or long-distance cruising range

each planning to use a different boat

You can use the boat for exercise or just hanging out on the water. They are usually 8-15 feet long and an open design

open sailboat in the range of 10-14 feet is good for sailing harbor.

The boats are used for skiing is usually 15-25 feet. This boat is designed to move quickly in order to attract skiers

Designed for sailing ships tend to be larger in some enclosed places to sleep.

If you know the type and size of ship you want to build you then have to decide what materials are used in producing boats

You can make your boat in accordance with their own dreams and their use

An old broken and worn out radio control speed boat is sunk in the lake instead of being put out for the trash man. An onboard camera was put on to record the sinking. It was attached with velcro and tethered with a fishing line in order to recover the camera. A good pull ripped the velcro apart once the boat had sunk.

I used my popsicle stick rc tugboat to pull it out to the site where it would be sunk. Please see my other videos for a video of that boat with an onboard camera. Once at the site, the duct tape that covered the holes that were drilled in the hull was pulled off and it began to sink. Only the tug made it back to shore.

http://www.TheBoaters.TV Episode 43: Star Clippers to Build Largest Sailing Vessel, High School Student Building Solar-Powered Boat, “First Rate” Nautical Nomenclature

First up today: Star Clippers revealed plans earlier this month to build the largest, most expensive sailing vessel ever constructed.

The new gargantuan ship will be 518 feet long (157 meters) and 61 feet at the beam with a 20-foot draft. She is set to debut in 2010 and will accommodate 296 guests (double-occupancy) and 140 crewmembers.

For more information on Star Clippers’ existing ships, visit http://www.StarClippers.com

Next up: Meet B.J. Walling, a 17-year-old high school student who is “engineering a better solar electric boat” as part of the Authentic Scientific Research Program.

B.J. has spent the last two years researching his project and began building his boat this past summer 2007.

His project is supported by donations of supplies from Toms River High School South, Viking Yachts, Harbor Sales, North American Composites, and Cedar Cove Marina.

To learn more about B.J.’s project, visit his website at http://www.freewebs.com/rjwalling/index.htm

To see B.J.’s collection of boat building videos, visit his YouTube channel at http://www.youtube.com/SurferChico250

We will update you on B.J.’s progress with his project later in the school year.

Finally today, it’s time for some Nautical Nomenclature: “First rate,” a term used to imply excellence, stems from the naval tradition.

From about the 16th century on until steam powered ships took over, British naval ships were rated as to the number of heavy cannons they carried.

A ship of 100 or more guns was designated a “First Rate” ship.

Second rates carried 90 to 98 guns; Third Rates, 64 to 89 guns; Fourth Rates, 50 to 60 guns. And then on down the line to where 48 to 20 guns were fifth and sixth rated.

TheBoaters TV, hosted by Julie Perry, airs 5-7 minute episodes every M, W, & F here on YouTube, and on our vlog at http://www.TheBoaters.TV (where you’ll find a higher res version). Also available on iTunes.

I have seen some of those videos, where some freaks drew cars in ms paint and I thought I could do that, too. This one is my 2nd work. It took me almost 4 hours to draw this. The video is probably a bit long. I also have a pic of it:
