@Ekdekk Yes. Make sure you get the angle right, because unlike hot glue that you could theoretically re-heat and soften again to correct the angle, there’s now correcting epoxy once it’s set.

@dreller120 I don’t know what other material will work. You can stab the aluminum can near the end with a sharp point from scissors to start the cut. It’s a little messier, and be careful it does not glance of and stab you, but I’ve started the cut that way many times.

@ehsanraza58 I don’t know. Epoxy is best. One person reported using a combination of super glue and silicone worked, but in general I urge people to follow directions exactly the first time through.

I was planning to put that engine into a lego car or so for the sound effects.
Do you think that’ll work?
I’m planning to put it upside down, so the straws face up and with the water inside, it might be able to make that “pop pop” sound.

Hmmm, I used a cheap 10 watt glue gun and it worked well. I ‘ve never seen a 20 watt. If you get one, test it out and see if it’s too hot for straws, and let us know!
