how do i build a boat?
My and my buddies want to build a cheap boat. We don’t care if it sinks but we would like it to last a little while. Our plans are to make it about 5×8 and we have barrels like a pontoon boat. Any suggestions on how to build it and and what to use to make it water proof.
strap the barrells together tight as you can, bolt brakets of some kind on top (seal the bolt holes with 3m 5200), bolt on a plywood platform.
save money and weight by using 1/2" B/C exterior grade plywood. Might need 3/8" for stiffness. Saturating it in polyester resin, then finish the top side by adding a layer of fiberglass cloth.

get some wood, nails, a hammer, and maybe some waterproof glue…and your gonna need some life jackets.
