I need to build a styrofoam boat for a school project.?
The boat must float and hold 5 marbles. We can use most anything to make the boat, but it must be homemade. Am worried that if the marbles (added at school right before float time) are not stationary they may shift weight too much and capsize boat. Any suggestions? Thanks.
If you use glue, be sure to use a hot glue gun and not Elmer’s.

if it is allowed, maybe you could hole out a small area in the center of the boat that will house the marbles. That way they can’t roll around. Obviously you do not want it that deep, but enough to allow the marbles to stay stationary. The down side to keeping them stationary in the center of the boat is that all the weight will be in one area. You want the weight more evenly distributed so the boat stays afloat for a longer period of time.
